I’ll admit that I suffer from superhero fatigue. I’ve enjoyed some of their movies – Christopher Reeve’s Superman movies, for example. Lately, though, it’s just one “existential” crisis after another, with no resolution of much of anything, the better to justify yet another sequel. Superheroes keep proliferating like insects, their super powers seem to increase as needed by the latest plot, and their various backstories keep getting more and more difficult to keep straight.
Maybe I’m just getting old, but I really prefer stories about real people and real life.
However, after this post by Captain America himself (Chris Evans), maybe I’ve found one modern-day superhero to root for.
