Trump started the shutdown, but Gravedigger Mitch could end it today if he wanted to.
If the Democrats give Trump his wall, then future Presidents will feel free to hold the country hostage in order to get things without Congressional support. Unfortunately, the potential for such a precedent exists because we elected someone entirely unfit for the office.
