Anybody who says the media never publishes good news obviously missed The Today Show today. Within about 30 minutes, the show broadcast three separate good news stories:
- A father and his three children are rescued three days after getting lost in the mountains while looking for a Christmas tree.
- A soldier returning from Iraq for the holidays dresses up as Santa Claus to surprise his family.
- A young man, adopted as a baby, reunites with his birth mother who works at the same store he does.
Don't get me wrong. I don't want the media to present happy news all the time. There is a lot of not-so-good news in the world that we all need to know about. Still, I enjoy a feel-good story as much as anyone, and this morning brought a trio of them.
Merry Christmas!
